Loved it until I couldn't use it

After the latest Android update (10) the Samsung media app crashes when you try to bring it up. Since that is the only way to use the speaker it's now collecting dust. This had been an issue for over 3 months and Samsung hasn't fixed it yet. If you are a buyer with a Android phone- beware.

after updating to android 10 the multi room app stopped working .... This issue is ver specified on the android app since September 2019 and no update on the app has been yet release which makes this speaker useless unless you only want to use it as a Bluetooth speaker

My thoughts and maybe a fix

alright so what can I say I bought this when it was on sale at Walmart I got to say I love the sound that comes out of it that's the first thing that I noticed. the second thing I noticed was the fact that it was relatively easy to connect to and I can connect most of my devices to it. one problem however that I keep having which seems to be a recurring issue is the fact that for some reason it'll randomly not be able to connect to anything and this will be after maybe a month or two of use and my assumption is that it's a electrostatic interference. however what seems to be a fix for me and I'm not sure if it would work for everybody that might have this issue is having it disconnected from any power source whatsoever for say 3 weeks I tend to leave mine on the Shelf out of the way for maybe a month cuz I tend to forget about it I'll bring it back out and plug it back in and it'll be able to connect just like it did before it started having problems and it'll continue to be able to connect for Maybe a month maybe three months depending on how actively I use it. So again my assumption is that it is having an electrostatic interference. with that really being the only problem that I have it was still worth the amount of money I spend on it because it's an issue that I've been able to fix time and time again it just takes a little time

Amazing sound - terrible app

When I first bought these they were amazing, the sound was great and the app functioned flawlessly. Then I updated the app 6 months ago and the experience changed for the worse. The app does not play all the songs on my Galaxy S8 and sometimes has a hard time connecting to streaming services. Unfortunately the only way to use these speakers over wifi is via the proprietary app. You can use bluetooth without the app but then you're limited to two speakers and your range is limited. Please Samsung, fix this app, don't need fancy features just need functionality. These are EXCELLENT sounding and looking speakers, don't let them die because of a faulty app.

Buyer Beware

These speakers and not great for surround sound. The volume is always low and you can barely hear anything. They constantly disconnect and you have to unplug them, restart your router, and practice black magic to get them to sync again. The logic board failed on one speaker in the first year. The speaker would no longer connect to WiFi. Samsung made me send the speaker to a third party in Jersey for repair. They scratched the top of the speaker during the repair and Samsung wouldn't do anything about it. Now the same issue happens to my second speaker outside of the warranty and Samsung drew a hard line and will not fix it. Do not buy these speakers, they will eventually be a paperweight.

I liked the speaker and how it sounded at store. but This speaker system will only work with flawed Samsung app and will not integrate with other systems like google home (my last hope12-2017) . I waited over 3 months (my mistake) with hope for an improved integration update. We already have Samsung sound bar with our Samsung Suhd Tv. we purchased this to play some music without stress. ! Not worth the money

I bought a Samsung 650 sound bar and two Samsung radiant R1 speakers for a surround sound set up. I worked well for about a month. After that, the connection constantly drops out. The radiant R1 speakers will randomly not be recognized by the multiroom app so I have to reset my speakers about once a month, sometimes more often. The surround sound speakers barely make a sound when they used to provide a good surround sound effect. You can't control the rear speakers independent of the front soundbar. Now, my speakers won't connect together to form a surround sound group even though the app recognizes all my speakers. Overall, I spent a lot on the setup and it doesn't even work. My rear speakers just are sitting on my shelf collecting dust. I am currently looking at different wireless speaker system and would easily spend double what I spent on Samsung for a functional system that actually performs like a surround sound system.

I purchased one of the 360 R1 speakers and liked it so much I now own four. For the price the speakers sound great and the fact that they are wireless means no mess of wires running from my stereo to the speakers. I'm very pleased and would recommend them to others.

Bought mine as an open box(display model), with an extended warranty as well( I do that will all 'open box' items). Hooked it up to my tablet, played various genres from Classical to Styx. I have to admit that the sound quality is equal to that of my Sonos speaker. I am very happy with my new toy and plan to extend my wireless family.... :)

So far, the speaker is performing well, but I wish the app were a bit retooled to make finding things easier. I've also found that if I create an equalizer setting on one speaker, it isn't pulled over to the other speaker when they are grouped. It would be nice to set the EQ the same on both speakers.

I find it not connecting to my new Samsung TV. It would be nice to have a remote, maybe there is an app? Like all Samsungs, it just has small problems that is annoying, like not connecting etc...

INCOMPATIBLE- DOES NOT WORK - BAD SOFTWARE - NO SAMSUNG SUPPORT

No app or software for Windows desktop or phone. My Samsung phone melted on top of my stuxnet Samsung washing machine, so I am using a Win8 phone. Samsung does not make compatible software to run the speakers on WiFi. Totally unacceptable, since there speakers have their own WiFi radio built in. The only thing I need is an app that will control the speakers and direct them to go to a URL. How hard can that be? (Bluetooth only runs a single speaker).

Intermittent problems, too many to discuss, Forced me to Return the 3 speakers!!! I went in to a best buy store and noticed several 'open boxed' speakers, I asked the sales rep why all the returns, she said customers complained about software issues!!!!

Got this as a Christmas gift and I was completely shocked and amazed how loud it got. Plus with it having 360° sound it sounds awesome in the kitchen since you're moving around. Thinking about buying more so I can set them up all over the house.

I purchased a pair of the Radiant360 R1 WiFi/Bluetooth Speakers, as a holiday gift. They were featured on the holiday deal of the day email. My initial thought was that if they were featured, that they were a slow seller and perhaps not a very good speaker. The combo WiFi and Bluetooth is a plus. So I purchased them as a gift. They far exceeded all expectation of quality of sound and out standing features with controls on top of the speaker, and you can also control them remotely with your tablet. They have a strong bass and at high volume there is no distortion or loss of sound quality. They will be a great convenience this summer on the porch and patio for cordless quality music!

Power Supply Issues

I like the speaker when it works but the poor design on power supply going into the bottom of the speaker comes unplugged and is very loose on both new speakers I bought. I believe this was a bad design flaw has anyone else had the same issue

Significant connectivity issues with other samsung products. BT is unable to connect to my ks9000 tv or my 355 soundbar. WIFI works after 2 hours on the phone with support. Pandora volume is very low but clear. WIFI sound is muddled so far. No portability and wonder if these can be hooked direct with the USB port for better sound.

Small speaker, room filling sound

The R1 is a great speaker for its size and fills the dynamic sound. I am using 2 R1's in combination with a soundbar and sub and it adds great surround sound. The only down side is limited connectivity with my computer. Also, discovered when grouped mine only worked on my 2.GHz Wi-Fi not the 5 Ghz band. Otherwise this is a awesome speaker.

i like this speaker because it has big bass in a small package. you do need to put padded feet on it so it doesn't move around and the Bluetooth connecting is sometimes frustrating.

I bought 3 of these speakers so that I could use the multi room functionality throughout my house. Unfortunately, you can only use that function via the Multiroom app, which has not worked well for me. I can not log in to Pandora via the app (keeps telling me my user name /password is incorrect - which it is not). Can't access Amazon music, because no code ever appears, and then app keeps dropping my iPad and iPhone music, and the speakers just turn off randomly. They look good, and when they work, they sound great.

Great Sound!, Good software (finally), Poor TV compatibility

I have been using it for almost a year now. Important things - Best parts: - The speaker sound quality is great. - The ability to connect to my wifi network and stream my music from my home media server, and 3rd party music services is awesome. This is much better than Bluetooth connectivity, (which it also has, and I use sometimes) because bluetooth streaming requires another device to remain in range providing the sound source, and also some of my Bluetooth audio sources (like my phone) noticeably decrease the sound quality. - The latest versions of both iPhone & Android software is reliable, full featured, and reasonably intuitive. Important things - Not so great: - It doesn't connect to my Samsung TV, as advertised. ... okay, reading the fine print, only "compatible TVs" support the Sound Connect feature. I'm currently in the market for another TV, and I would love one that is compatible, but can't find a list from Samsung of which TVs are compatible. Reviewing individual models, it looks like very few are? - I wouldn't recommend buying this with the expectation of using it with a TV, unless you do your research very well ahead of time on both devices' capabilities. Minor things: Good: I think it looks cool! Bad: Some of the 3rd party music providers have limitations that make them functionally useless for streaming over wifi to this device. This is not Samsung's fault, except for the marketing expectations. Bad: Setup, and re-setup has been non-intuitive. Bad: (Historical) - Past versions of the software were buggy and very non-intuitive. (Grrr!, but thanks for fixing.) Am I satisfied with this product? - Yes, pretty much. Would I buy this again? - Not at last year's price-point, but I would at this year's price point.
