Severely disappointed in this purchase despite the reviews. Cooling in both the freezer and and refrigerator broke down within 6 months. Have had many service calls (5) and parts replacements (3 and counting), but cooling problems still persist. Ran into a brick wall in getting a replacement. Avoid this refrigerator (and probably all GE refrigerators) at all costs. I would give it zero stars if possible.

The GE refrigerator is huge, 29 cu. ft. The internal water pitcher with a spigot allows for water without removing the pitcher from the refer. The door in door feature was a pleasant surprise. It is more useful than anticipated, by allowing access to items used frequently without opening the refer. One negative, the fingerprint resistant finish still shows smudges. We are happy with this purchase.

This refrigerator holds a lot of food. It™™s well organized and works well for my large family. I love the large drawer. It can be used for many things. Was great for holding bowls of berries so they don™™t get knocked over in the main fridge. The only thing I have an issue with is the water dispenser will drip after use. It™™s only a few drops but every time I get water it drips a couple of drops inside the refrigerator after it refills.

If you are looking for a great refrigerator that doesn't have water and ice in the door, that caused us so many problems with our previous refrigerator, then consider this model. It is big, well lighted, with easy access to milk area, easy access to a filtered water pitcher, and has a meat/cheese drawer. Plus a big ice bin in the freezer drawer. We find that we fill up our big water cups with the ice and don't need ice in the door after all. This refrigerator holds all the Thanksgiving left overs with easy, and I can see everything! No more items forgotten in the back. Shelves are very easy to adjust too!

I was able to stock it with the left overs and still had room. The freezer is deep and has enough space for everything. The water pitcher is an excellent feature.

This refrigerator and the service provided by GE through Bodewell is awful. If you want to have massive puddles on your floor because the autofill overfills the pitcher and doesn't stop, then this is the fridge for you. GE will come out and just slap a new pitcher on, then when it constantly happens after that they will tell you that you are out of luck. So disappointed with this purchase.

Capacity is great. Compressor is quiet. Configuration of shelves has delusions of adequacy. Quality appears to be lacking. Dealer has been trying to make it right, but they say that GE is now pushing back, hard. We're on the third unit in as many months. The first one had a huge dent on the door - we were promised a replacement door in a couple of weeks, but almost two months later there was no sign of the parts or a tech to install it. The dealer said that GE couldn't/wouldn't give an approximate date when it might be available, so they replaced the entire unit. The second fridge had scratches all over the exterior and the interior - every bin and drawer had scratches and scour marks under the protective plastic wrap. The exterior had scratches, scours and discoloration of the stainless steel skin under the protective plastic wrap. Cans of soda were exploding in the beverage drawer even though it was set to the beverage temperature. It was so humid inside that water was dripping off the shelves. They insisted on sending a tech out who said the unit was in terrible condition and needed all new bins, all new door/drawer seals and all new door panels, but that wouldn't fix the scratched and scoured liner. We requested a replacement, but the dealer said they needed to send a tech out to examine it despite the fact that they'd already sent a tech out. It was a struggle to get it replaced. The third unit arrived 2 weeks ago and looks great. It took 5 days on turbo-cool and turbo-freeze to get below 40 degrees and is now sitting at 36 degrees despite being set to 34 degrees. A tech is scheduled to come out at their earliest appointment, but that's another 3 weeks out. The dealer is saying that GE won't replace it and it needs to be repaired. It's pitiful that we paid almost $3k for a new fridge and we've ended up with something that works worse than the 18-year-old fridge we replaced. That's a lot of money for a brand-new broken and not-yet-repaired fridge.

This is a follow-up to an older review that is no longer online. I just wanted to say that after a year of owning this refrigerator, I still love it as much as I did when it first arrived! It is so quiet that we never hear it running, and the ice cubes drop very quietly as well. The lighting is fantastic, and the freezer room is incredible compared to what we had in our older GE Profile. The middle third drawer is a terrific addition as it's where we keep all of our cheese, wine, canned beverages for easy access. We can ever fit in other items when we need to. If I had to find anything to change, I might wish for larger produce bins and less expensive water replacement filters, but neither of those issues prevent me from loving this product. I have recommended it to two friends who also bought the same refrigerator and feel the same way as we do about their purchases! Good work, GE!

So far, I love my GE profile refrigerator. There is plenty of room on the shelves and I like that it™™s back lit so that I can see everything easily. The extra draw is very handy for my bread and cheese, and I separate them with the canned beverage bin. The ice machine makes plenty of ice and the ice size is perfect for my reusable water bottles. The door in door is a nice feature that I use for things that I use often. I also like the little flip down shelf in the freezer that I can store my butter and smaller things in without taking out too much.

Instructions say to turn on ice maker by pressing button. No button to turn on ice maker. I™™m ashamed to be a GE employee and see the level of service provided.

Mechanically the fridge seems great, roomy, and the water pitcher is wonderful. The French doors are uneven though (one is up higher than the other) and the installation guys came back out to try and fix it and were not able to adjust it at all.

I'm torn on whether to give it 4 or 5 stars. The fridge looks nice and has good features. The only complaint I have is the water dispenser seems to leak a bit of water. Not continuously leaking. I suspect it's either when we take the container out or put it back a small amount drips. Not a deal breaker but maybe that part could have been made better.

I've only had this for about 1 months so far so I can't speak about the reliability of it. The interior is really clean and the backlight is honestly amazing, it's also awesome that the slim drawer can go below freezing as well. We decided to get this because there was no exterior facing water dispenser and the ice machine was in the freezer and we were hoping that choosing that would mean we would have a longer lasting fridge.

We love this fridge!! Water pitcher inside works great! Our family loves not having this on the outside of the door. Door in door is a game changer for always having drinks on the ready. The backlit light allows for no hiding places. The doors hold so much we only have a few things on the shelves.

We bought it for Capacity & Design: Spacious ~28.7™29 cu™¯ft total, with 4-door French-door layout including a Door™in™Door rotating bin, gallon door storage, a temperature™adjustable middle drawer, and twin evaporators to keep fresh and frozen zones separate . I do wish there was better bigger storage for veggies, like head of broccoli won™™t fit™¦

ARGH. Had this fridge installed less than 3 weeks ago, and have since had 2 technicians come out to address the issue which is that the left door closes on its own. It's terrible to open the door to put something in or take something out and suddenly have the left door hit you in the back because it does not stay open. Worse, GE has determined it does not qualify for replacement. What they are then admitting is that they designed a door that hits you in the back when it is in use. The second repairman who came out told me that he has had at least 5 out of 10 fridges (same model) have this issue, the most recent one was a few days before me. He also said he keeps looking for a bulletin on how to fix the issue but that none had been released so far. According to him the hinges are poorly designed and that the issue has to do with the weight of the water in the door. It makes sense as the floor model I saw before purchasing this did not have this issue: both doors stayed open, as they should. Do yourself a favor--skip the headaches, frustrations , and disappointments and buy the model with the exterior water dispenser.

Refrigerator was delivered and installed yesterday. We were told it would take approximately 4 hours for the freezer to get to temperature and 24 hours for it to stabilize to where it wouldn't drop when the doors were open. You can imagine my suprise and frustration when I opened it this morning only to find everything was thawed. Should have kept my old fridge...it was 23 years old but it still did what it was supposed to. Now I know things like this can happen and while it is frustrating, I.am sure it is fairly common so I thought let me scan the QR code and take a look at the owner's manual to see if they have any troubleshooting ideas. Scanned code, it took me to website but half the options don't do anything, this includes the "owners manual" option. Press it, nothing...press again, nothing.....Too bad for GE the "leave review" option worked because this review is being written at the height of my frustration. Hopefully, the business we bought it from can do better in making it right than GE can in making a freezer cold. We shall see once they open.

DO NOT BUY!!!! I loved the features of this fridge, especially the water dispenser and the optimized refrigerator space. However the drawer in the freezer that holds the ice falls down every single time we open and close the freezer door. The design is flawed so that the roller does not stay on track under the load of the ice. It is awful! GE refuses to assist us and tells us the extended warranty we paid for should cover it. But there is nothing technically broken so the repair company can™™t help. It is a design flaw. Do not waste your money on this horrible product.

I'm very happy with our purchase of this refrigerator. Drawers and moving parts are sturdy, it's quiet, and best of all I can easily see everything inside due to the fully lighted back panel. Regular depth accomodates large pans and trays for entertaining, and drawers are tall enough for lettuce heads. Really like the autofill feature for water, and that it measures ounces. No regrets. I'd buy it again.
